Protection for piste, park and off-piste

A back protector or wrist guard prevents the injuries that happen most often on the piste. At Kampeerwinkel Roermond you'll find protection by Scott, Sweet Protection, Rydion, UFO and Sidas: back protectors as a vest or plate, wrist guards for snowboarders, knee and hip protectors and protective shorts.

What to look for

  • Back protector: a vest stays in place and protects the shoulders too; a plate is lighter.
  • Standard: CE EN 1621-2 level 1 or 2.
  • Wrist guards: under or inside the glove; for beginner snowboarders.
  • Children: vests that grow with them thanks to adjustable straps.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a back protector on the piste?

Strongly recommended for fast skiers, freeriders and children; on busy pistes it protects you in collisions.

Does a back protector fit under my ski jacket?

Yes, a plate or thin vest fits under any ski jacket. Also take a look at ski helmets, ski goggles and all winter sports accessories.
