Which gas for which appliance?

Campers use three kinds of gas. Campingaz cylinders (901, 904, 907) with butane fit most stoves, barbecues and heaters; exchange empty for full. Cartridges (CP250 clip-on, CV300 and CV470 screw thread) are light for single burners and lanterns. Propane cylinders of 5 to 11 kilos for caravans and motorhomes. Campingaz 904 or 907?

The 904 (1.8 kg gas) for tents and short holidays, the 907 (2.75 kg) for caravans and longer trips; both use the same regulator.

Regulators and hoses

Check the pressure used in your country; Campingaz has its own regulators. Replace hoses every 5 years, regulators every 10.

May I carry gas in the car?

Yes, upright, valve closed, ventilated, maximum two cylinders for private use. See also stoves and Campingaz.
